La trâce de la fleur

2025

This project explores the fragile balance between the confrontations over dwindling resources and the ecosystems striving for a shared harmony. Through a naïve yet poetically ironic visual approach, it highlights the apparent beauty of a message that is, in truth, tragic.

The fragments of the installation, reminiscent of a skeleton, symbolize both the connections and ruptures between spaces: freedom and constraint, emptiness and fullness, yin and yang. They reveal the constant tension between life and extinction.

The trace of the flower questions our relationship with nature and the imprints humanity leaves behind. Natural cycles, often disrupted by our actions, reveal a deep imbalance. Humans, convinced they dominate the Earth, forget that it will be reborn without them. The transparency of the materials evokes the fragility of our story, while the stitching and stapling embody the attempt to repair what is already fractured.

The thermal paper and red fabric evoke the suffocation of resources and the metaphor of a withered rose, the image of a fallen beauty. Finally, the figure of Adam illustrates human vanity in wanting to possess the Earth, while nature, silent, may well be our Trojan horse.
